Lifestyles for the Disabled, located in Staten Island, NY, helps developmentally challenged individuals prepare for realistic work settings with hands-on experiences and skill development. Our programs offer participants training in a variety of industries, such as housekeeping, horticulture, media content creation, and restaurant support. We maintain a staff of 100 full and part-time employees, including an onsite nurse. Our services cater to each unique individual, and they are designed to give participants the necessary skills to contribute meaningfully to the community.

LIFESTYLES BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
The Lifestyles Basketball Tournament at Fast Break was a true nail-biter. The score went back and forth between the Cavs and Lions, ending in a 46-46 tie. That’s how good the game was.
The Lifetones “Think About Spring” singing songs such as “Oh Susanna,” “The Rose” and “Three Little Birds.” Enjoy the highlights from the day and evening concerts at the Lifestyles Education Center.

Lifestyles for the Disabled followed its eighth annual golf outing with a dinner at the Staaten. Joanne Certo was awarded the Conrad Whitehead Award for her outstanding work during a career that includes Director of the Lifestyles Education Center and Special Olympics coach. Dennis Gabel accepted the Community Partnership Award for the Staten Island Kiwanis. The service group has established a Kiwanis AKtion Club at Lifestyles and has partnered with Lifestyles to provide a summer retreat at Kamp Kiwanis.
