"Lifestyles for the Disabled" started in 1994, with the wonderful support of parents, community organizations, local business leaders, and a dedicated group of developmentally disabled adults who participated in our programs. These remarkable individuals and organizations came together to recognize the importance of creating programs that provide participants with meaningful work environments and enjoyable social experiences in Staten Island and beyond.
Empower individuals with developmental disabilities by providing inclusive opportunities for skill development, meaningful work experiences, and community engagement. We aim to promote independence, enhance quality of life, and advocate for the rights and dignity of all participants.
From our annual Golf Outing to community adventures both near and far, September was filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Each event gave us the chance to come together, celebrate, and create lasting memories with friends, families, and supporters.
As you can see, every minute of September was spent with smiles on our faces — and we’re so grateful to everyone who made it such a special month!
